AIM:
The aim of this unit is to empower practitioners with the knowledge and skills necessary to recognise, respond to, and prevent abuse and neglect in a range of settings. This unit seeks to enhance understanding of safeguarding principles, legal frameworks, and best practices whilst promoting a culture of safety and protection for vulnerable individuals. Additionally, it aims to equip participants with the tools to promote well-being and ensure that the rights of individuals are upheld in their care and support environments.

- Recognise and understand the different forms of abuse and neglect, including physical, emotional, and sexual abuse.

- Vulnerable Individuals ( children, vulnerable adults).
- Key aspects of safeguarding ( protection, empowerment, prevention, partnership, proportionality, accountability).

- Different types of abuse and neglect. Physical, emotional, sexual) .
- Legal and ethical roles and responsibilities
- Responding to concerns and reporting protocols

Method of learning: The course is delivered entirely online, making it accessible to participants worldwide. Learning materials include a narrated presentation, a training manual, an e-library featuring evidence-based publications, and a multiple-choice quiz to test your acquisition of skills at the end of the unit.
Facilitation: The education and training content for this course is facilitated by qualified educators who are regulated healthcare professionals and who hold master level regulated qualifications in non-surgical cosmetic practice.

As this course is focused on continuing professional development and learning, there are no formative or summative assessments. However, learners will complete an end-of-course multiple-choice quiz to evaluate their acquisition of knowledge and understanding, facilitating reflective practice in this critical area of non-surgical cosmetic practice.
There are no formal prerequisite qualifications for entry to this CPD course. However, it should be noted that CPD courses are not qualifications and may not be suitable for unqualified practitioners.
Completion timescales: Completion is flexible to accommodate the busy demands of working professionals. Learners will have access to the platform and resources for 12 weeks for each CPD course.
