AIM: 

The aim of this CPD course is to equip practitioners with knowledge and understanding of clinical governance in non-surgical cosmetic practice. It will focus on best-practice standards for the clinical environment and education and training standards for practitioners to deliver safe and effective treatment interventions. Additionally, the session will explore the role of risk assessment and clinical audits in maintaining and upholding standards.

    1. Articulate the key principles of clinical governance and their relevance to non-surgical cosmetic practice, including patient safety, quality of care, and accountability. 
    2. Apply best practice standards in their non-surgical cosmetic practice, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective interventions and creating a safe working environment for both practitioners and patients.
    3. Design and implement clinical audits in their practice to assess and evaluate the quality of care provided, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with established standards. 
    4. Promote a culture of continuous improvement within clinical practice, promoting an environment where feedback and reflection to best practices are encouraged to enhance patient safety.

As this course is focused on continuing professional development and learning, there are no formative or summative assessments. However, learners will complete an end-of-course multiple-choice quiz to evaluate their acquisition of knowledge and understanding, facilitating reflective practice in this critical area of non-surgical cosmetic practice.

Entry Requirements: There are no formal prerequisites for this Continued Professional Development (CPD) course; however, learners should note that CPD courses do not equate to regulated qualifications.
