STAGE 1 ASSESSMENT

Written Exam 

Welcome to stage 1 of the RPL assessment process.

Stage 1 requires the learner to undertake an online written examination.  The written examination will assess knowledge and understanding across the indicative content and learning outcomes for units 1 – 5. The written exam is externally set and externally marked by VTCT.

The written examination involves answering approximately 100 + multiple choice questions. Exam questions are presented in the following formats.

• Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
• Cloze Response Questions (CRQ)s
• Multiple Response Questions (MRQs)
• Assertion and Reason Questions (ARQs)
• Extended Matching Questions (EMQs)
• Ordering or Ranking Questions (ORQs)

You will have 3 hrs hours to complete the exam. VTCT has set the cut off pass mark at 70%.
