STAGE 1 ASSESSMENT
Written ExamÂ
Welcome to stage 1 of the RPL assessment process.
Stage 1 requires the learner to undertake an online written examination. The written examination will assess knowledge and understanding across the indicative content and learning outcomes for the qualification units. The written exam is externally set and externally marked by VTCT.
The written examination involves answering approximately 100 + multiple choice questions. Exam questions are presented in the following formats.
- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Cloze Response Questions (CRQ)s
- Multiple Response Questions (MRQs)
- Assertion and Reason Questions (ARQs)
- Extended Matching Questions (EMQs)
- Ordering or Ranking Questions (ORQs)
Don’t worry if you have not come across these question formats before, you will find guidance and examples of the each question format together with useful resources to help you prepare for the exam in the following sections. You will find exam dates and times to choose from in the Book Exam section.
We recommend that you read through each section carefully before registering and embarking on the written exam.
